Alexandra Smith
Hello! My name is Ally Smith, and I am a senior Environmental, Soil, and Water Science major with a Natural Resource Management minor. I have always loved the outdoors, most specifically boating, swimming, hiking, and hammocking. Growing up in Cabot, Arkansas meant that a lot of my childhood was spent out in the woods, fishing in a pond, swimming in a creek, or sometimes even in a drainage pipe looking for frogs. Obviously, with an upbringing like that, you learn to appreciate the beauty of nature. When I graduate, I intend on pursuing a Master's Degree, maybe even a PhD, before finding a job with Arkansas Game and Fish or another local environmental protection job. I chose to come to UARK because my dad is the world's biggest Razorback fan despite never having the opportunity to go to college. Now that I am here, I have joined the CSES club and have been elected the recruitment chair for Sigma Alpha (the agriculture sorority), both of which I love to be a part of. I love staying involved and I truly believe that UARK has been the perfect place for me. I am excited to get to share my knowledge and love for this university to the incoming freshman! GO HOGS!
